The Chainsmokers highlighted the tournament’s Military Appreciation Day Ceremony on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The performance took place on the world-famous island green 17th hole and was the headline act of several military-focused initiatives throughout tournament week honoring members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
‘Make Golf Your Thing’ is a collaborative effort across the golf industry to ensure the future of golf is open to everyone. This multi-faceted, multi-year campaign will work to invite more people to the sport from all backgrounds to enjoy the game of a lifetime – their way.
East Lake Golf Club has been the permanent home of the TOUR Championship since 2005. The tournament was first played at East Lake in 1998 and has been held at East Lake 21 times since then. The TOUR Championship is the culminating event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup, with only the top 30 players on the points list qualifying each year.
THE NORTHERN TRUST is the first tournament event of the FedExCup Playoffs and will rotate between Liberty National Golf Club and TPC Boston.
In 2020, the tournament heads to Boston, Massachusetts where the top-125 PGA TOUR players will descend upon TPC Boston August 19 – 23 to compete in the premier event of the FedExCup Playoffs.
